Animal food manufacturing facilities need to register under FD&C Act and develop hazard analysis

With the background of proposed regulations for preparing good manufacturing practice standards for animal food, it is important that all facilities that manufacture animal food get charged up now.
According to the recent developments, the United States of Food and Drug Administration plans to propose regulations for animal food manufacturing facilities. The plan is to have regulations for current good manufacturing practice related to manufacturing or processing, packaging and storing of animal food. The proposed regulations also include the requirement by certain facilities to create and execute hazard analysis and preventive control for animal food based on the identified risks.
This step aims at building a safe animal and pet food system with risk based preventive control that regulate the entire system. The domestic and foreign facilities that manufacture animal food need to register under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act for the same. The proposed rule welcomes electronic or written comments that would help the whole process.
