MEGGLE Group Wasserburg has been granted EXCiPACT certification by auditors from the certifying body SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance, Hamburg, Germany). Following an inspection of the company’s manufacturing processes, quality systems, quality management, storage and distribution of pharmaceutical grade lactose, and its associated auxiliary materials used in the production process, the certifying body SGS confirmed that the Meggle Business Group Excipients & Technology complies with the quality standards of good manufacturing and good distribution practices (GMP & GDP) for its pharmaceutical excipients.

The EXCiPACT certificate, introduced in 2013, has been granted only to a dozen companies meeting high standards according to the international industrial GMP/GDPs standard and ISO norms. The quality standards as defined in EXCiPACT are specifically for manufacturing and supply of pharmaceutical excipients. To ensure compliance with the standards and for the patient safety, the certificate holders are reviewed annually and re-audited every three years.

The EXCiPACT certification assures optimal product quality and security within the supply chain as a means to protect patient safety and to ensure efficient cost. This certificate gives proof of the high standard to which Meggle has committed.
