Pharmatech obtains authorization to export products to Canada

Pharmatech Labs has obtained authorization from the Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD) of Canada to export nutritional products to Canada. The NHPD is the regulatory authority for natural health products for the Health Products and Food Branch of Health Canada.

Pharmatech manufacturers a wide variety of nutraceutical products and offers formulation, dry mixing, encapsulation, blister packaging, bottling, powder filling and stick packaging services to its clients both in the United States and now in Canada. The NHPD found that Pharmatech is in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements as outlined in Part 3 of the Natural Health Products Regulations (NHPR). With this approval, the company is now authorized to export products manufactured, packaged and labeled at its facility in Lindon, Utah to importers in Canada.

All natural health products, including vitamins and minerals, herbal remedies, homeopathic medicines, probiotics and nutritional supplements, are evaluated for quality and safety by the NHPD before the product can be sold in Canada. It also ensures that all natural health products available in Canada are properly manufactured without contaminants.
